Sam was up early and seemed surprised to see Kira and I sleeping in the open room. He came right over and snuggled with me for awhile and then was off for a book. Then he sat in the chair so I snapped a few pictures of him.
Ryan had taken the day off and was ready to be or tour guide today. We started by heading to NASA. I hadn't even thought of that being in the area. It was a great trip. We did a tour, we wanted to do the red tour to see the training facility but it wasn't available so we did a different one instead. When we got to the building that housed the Saturn V we were lucky enough to be there just in time to tour it with a retired worker. He told interesting stories and was the highlight of the tour. Then we spent some time checking out displays inside. Before leaving I picked up a new shirt for Sam and a nerd shirt for Kira.

Lunch was at a Ramen shop. I didn't expect to really like it but it was so good!

Next up was the Gulf of Mexico. We went to a nearby beach. We wanted to see it and take some pics so that's what we did. We even got to see a pelican.
Then it was time to go pick Sam up from school and back to the house for a pasta dinner with buffalo meat.
Next up was a trip to the YMCA to play on the playground before heading into Sam's basketball game. It was great fun to watch. I was also impressed with how busy the Y was!
When we returned home we relaxed and waited for Amanda to get home from a long day of work. After a chat and deciding our best way out of town it was time to sleep and be ready for another day of driving.
Our thanks to Ryan and Amanda for being being great hosts! We look forward to a return visit.
