Day 13 San Antonio to Houston

No breakfast at our hotel so we headed to a farm to table place and it ended up being at another hotel. They were busy so in order to get seated right away we had to agree to sit with another couple, fine with us.

Then we were off for Houston, a shorter drive today. Kira's GPS isn't up to date enough to recognize Ryan and Amanda's address in a new home so we used my phone when we got close. We ended up on a toll road and EZPass didn't work so I guess we'll be getting a bill from the state of Texas, oops!
Once we arrived and unloaded we were off for lunch at a Texas Barbeque place called Goode's. I had my first Poboy, a brisket one. A sandwich that had to be eaten with a fork and knife. I also tried a Texas beer, a Saint Arnold Amber, both were very good.

Then we headed to The Museum of Natural History. We parked by some really pretty gardens complete with water displays but it was too hot to enjoy them! Our favorite parts of the museum were the dinosaur exhibit and the butterfly garden.
Love these sprawling trees.

Next stop was The Wall of Water. Ryan said this is often shown during sporting events that take place in Houston. Of course I wouldn't be aware of that! It was breezy and felt cooler with a mist bowing through the air.

Then we stopped for a light dinner and headed back to the house. The kids played a game and I worked on editing a few pictures before heading to bed.
